Welcome to Day 2 of the Thankful for Family, Friends, Freedom and Food Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Josy's BLOG. If this is your first stop, hop on over to Amy's BLOG to get started.
Here is the order of the blog hop:
I have some blog candy ~ details at the end of my post!!
I created a mini book for my second Thankful project. I saw something similar at CKC Kansas City and created my own on my Gypsy.
Here is the file I created. I have 4 Layers, one for each page in the book. I used Locker Talk for the pages. I used the Hide Contour feature to hide the hole punches and the window cut.
The last page is 12" long x 7" high, including 1 1/2" fold. I lined up the rest of the pages staggered starting at the fold line. The smallest page is 6 inches wide, the next page is 8 inches and the third page is 10 inches.
I used double sided paper all from the same collection. I love these colors!! I cut out the same words ("So Grateful", Freedom, Food, Family and Friends) from the tile project in yesterday's post.
I bound it together with a ribbon. I might sneak this in with the blog candy....what do you think?!?
I am thankful that you stopped by our blog hop!! I do have some blog candy that I am giving away. There are just 2 things you need to do to be eligible, be or become a follower and leave me a comment with your favorite Thanksgiving memory. I will pick one winner from today and yesterdays posts, so you can enter once each day.
Here is the Blog Candy!
My favorite Thanksgiving memory is gathering at our house every year before my mom died. We always included our neighbors Art and Floris who did not have children and their family lived in another state. They were a bonus set of grandparents to us kids! Floris made the best home-made pumpkin pie in the world!!! I miss her!
One last thing, I am pretty close to 300 (297 very early this morning) followers as I type this. If I reach 300 by the end of the blog hop, I will be drawing a second winner for some yummy candy!!!
Your next stop is FantabulouslyPink!
Ohhhh so close to 300 Lori! Good for you!
ReplyDeleteYour mini album is beautiful and if you do sneak it into the blog candy...the winner will be super lucky!

well, I just started following so now you are at 298!
ReplyDeleteI would love to get the mini album. That would help me to "figure it out" so I can make my own. It is so cute.
My favorite memories are when the entire family would get together at my grandmother's farm. I had a ton of cousins, so it was always fun. Now we are so spread out, my kids barely know their cousins.

ReplyDeleteWooHoo!!!! I am your 300th follower.
ReplyDeleteI love your mini book. I just got my Gypsy and as soon as I learn how to use it I will be making a minibook like yours.
Oh, I was so excited to be number 300 that I forgot to leave a favorite Thanksgiving memory. I love memories of Thanksgiving dinners with my parents, siblings, grandparents, great grandparents, assorted aunts, uncles and cousins. Our house was small and we kids would eat wherever we could set our plates, on the coffee table, end tables and even on the floor. It was like a big indoor picnic with all the people I loved best. Now, I look forward to Thanksgiving dinners with my kids and grandkids and hope that we are all making wonderful memories together.
ReplyDeleteI love the simplicity of one word per page. Looks wonderful!
