This layout was inspired by one I saw on Out On a Limb Scrapbooking. They sell scrapbook kits. I was looking for some ideas for my monthly crop at Michaels and followed one of her Valentine's Day ideas. Note: I have no intention of selling my pages as a kit or at all, just wanted to give credit of the deisgn to the proper source! This is not how I typically scrapbook, I start with the photos and paper and then go from there.
I used the LOVE from Love Struck 2010 cartridge. I wanted to add some beads to the heart and a couple of bigger hearts as well.
These photos below show how I made the beaded hearts:
I started with paper hearts, beads and Glossy Accents.
I outlined the hearts with Glossy Accents.
I filled in the heart with the beads.
Next, I covered the beads with Glossy Accents.
Here is what they look like wet. These particular beaded hearts were used for a different project. I also used red seed beads for my Valentine's Day layout.
I cut a variety of hearts out using George and different pink, red and white papers.
The little envelope came from Sentimentals. I sized it to 7.92w x 2.93h on my Gyspy. I used a heart to seal it!
I added a few heart shaped buttons and some ribbon. I used baker's twine tied in a knot for the buttons.
And here is the final layout once again. This is a pretty layout....with all boys I am not sure where I will find photos to add to it lol!!
Lori I love your layout! All the red and hearts and beads...oh my! Also, thanks for the tip on using glossy accents with the beads. I love my glossy accents and often use it over glitter, but haven't tried it with the beads...will have to give it a go!
