Happy Easter!! Today I am the designer for Show Me Sunday at Frosted Designs! Every Sunday, we have a tutorial. One of my goals this year was to make more cards, and when I saw a Z-Fold card recently I thought of this idea!
You start with a piece of cardstock 12" x 4 1/4". Score the paper at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 4 1/2" and 6 1/2". Fold the paper back and forth (so it looks like a Z or two).
For the design, I turned to my Gypsy. I found the grass from Easter 2010 and cut out two sized at 4.40w x 2.21h.
On the second Layer, I cut out 6 eggs from Easter 2010 at 1.35" height. I cut out the layers to the bunny from Create-A-Critter at 3.47" height. I cut out the phrase Happy Easter from Holiday Cakes at 1.82" height.
I separated the pieces on my mat by the color of paper I am using.
This is a great way to use up my scraps!
On the Gypsy, the grass seemed tall enough. When I laid it on my card I wasn't happy with it. I trimmed another piece and glued it down at the bottom, then glued the grass pieces on top of it.
Here are the rest of the pieces.
I glued the bunny together and attached the eggs and sentiment.
Here is a side view. Before I glued the bunny down, I closed up the card to see where he would look best.
I added some Stickles to the eggs and bunny. I tied a yellow ribbon in the grass to hide my seam.
And here it is all finished. This is my first Z-Fold card, the first of many to come!!
Super cute idea Lori!
