So, let's get started on my birthday project:

One of my goals this year is to use every cricut cartridge that I own.  I was thinking about all the different birthday projects I could make (cards, layout, banner, gift bag or box) and then I remembered this cartridge.  About a year ago, spa sock cupcakes were all the rage.  I decided to make a Happy Birthday Spa Cupcake!

I put the floral cupcake wrapper on my mat sized at 10.16w x 2.24h.  I put the floral topper on my mat at 2.74w x 2.65h.  I put the shadow for the floral topper on my mat at 2.74w x 2.65h, copied another one and welded them together to create my card.

I glued the floral topper to the front of the card with my Xyron.

My niece thought it needed some silver sparkle, so I added silver stickles to the cut outs.

Here is the cupcake wrapper.  You can see the back side of the paper here.  This paper came from a K&Co. paper stack.

I glue dotted the card to this toothpick.

You can see the silver stickles shining here!

I took a spa sock that I purchased from Michaels and twisted it up, secured it with a hair tie and poked the card in the top.  Here is a very special birthday cupcake!!

I am giving away this cupcake (spa socks included) as my blog candy.  In order to qualify, you need to just #1 be or become a follower, #2 leave me a comment telling me your favorite kind of cake and/or frosting and #3 a way to contact you in case you win!

The next stop in this hop is the Magnificent Margie!!
