Glittered Ornament (Frosted Designs)

This week's challenge at Frosted Designs is to use Glitter in your project.  This time of year it is super easy to add a little sparkle so be sure to link up your project!!
I found this ornament on Pinterest and loved it!!  You can see the tutorial (and where I got the idea from) HERE.

I purchased a Thesaurus at WalMart for $1 about a year ago.  I love having book pages at my disposal for projects such as this one.  I cut some rectangles ~ 4 to a page after I trimmed the top and bottom blank spaces off.  I wrapped each rectangle around my finger into a cone.
I glued the flap with Scotch liquid glue.
Here is a completed cone.  You need 20 cones for this project.

I cut out a 4 inch star from my George Cartridge and punched a hole in one of the points for a ribbon.  You glue one cone on each of the points, then one right next to the first one to the right, then to the left, then in the center.  The last cones overlap a bit.
Here is the back.  The original project used smaller rectangles and a 3 inch star.

Here is how I made this my own.....I added the red Ranger Perfect Pearls Mist.  It was more pink than red which worked for me!
I sprayed 2 coats.
Next I stickled the edges of the cones with silver.
I punched out a 1 7/8" circle out of silver cardstock and cut out an "a" at 1 1/2" in pink paper.  I outlined it in silver stickles.
Here is my ornament all ready to go on my tree!  Thank you for stopping by today!!
