Easter Tile (Memories in Tyme Blog Hop)

Welcome to the Memories in Tyme blog hops - where you will find some seriously talented people who love to share their ideas with you! Our hop today and tomorrow is all things relating to spring - full of ideas for layouts, cards, décor or whatever else we’ve all decided to make! This is Lynda’s favorite time of the year - where things are starting to look nice, not be too hot, flowers and trees starting to come out, and people in their yards making their surroundings look good!

Now, if you just happened upon my blog, then please go back to the beginning which is at Lynda’s blog (http://memoriesintyme.blogspot.com/). Besides, the beginning is always the best anyway!!!

Here is my Spring project:

I started with my Gypsy and Word Collage.  I opened up 2 Layers and put the Spring Word Collage on both.  I sized it to a height of 11.5 inches.  I hid the large words on Layer 1.

I cut out Layer 1 out of purple vinyl.  I use my E2 which has a vinyl setting, but if you are using a Cricut or Expression use settings 3-3-3 for cutting vinyl.

On Layer 2, I hid everything EXCEPT the large words.

I cut this layer out in lime green vinyl.

Using transfer paper or clear contact paper (be sure to de-stick it a bit on your jeans), I put the purple vinyl on my 12x12 tile.  Then I put the green words on the tile.

I did not like the green ~ it was too hard to see.

My first color combination was lavender and hot pink.  The lavender did not show  up very well.  I did not have any more pink, so I went with green.
So I took the pink from the first one and carefully removed it with my spatula tool.  I put it on top of the green words.  I also removed the three eggs in lavender and put them on the purple eggs.  I purposely let some of the purple show through.

The third time was the charm!!

Thanks for stopping by today!!  Don't forget about the Blog Candy!!
