Patriotic Blog Hop (Memories in Tyme)

Welcome to the Memories in Tyme blog hops - where you will find some seriously talented people who love to share their ideas with you! Our hop today is all things Patriotic and the ole’ RED WHITE AND BLUE- doesn’t matter if it is a layout, card, mini album, or decorating item, if it’s all things Patriotic…it’ll be here!!! It’s all about fireworks, BBQ’s, family time, parades, the Military, and anything else you find Patriotic in this fun hop!!!

Now, if you just happened upon my blog, then please go back to the beginning which is at Lynda’s blog (http://memoriesintyme.com/). Besides, the beginning is always the best anyway!!!

Let’s get started with the ideas!!

I started with my Gypsy and Word Collage Cartridge.  I sized the 4th of July subway art to 7" x 9".

I cut it out in blue vinyl and again in red vinyl.  When cutting with vinyl, I set my cricut to 3-3-3 (Speed, Pressure and Blade Depth).  I use my dental tool to weed out the extra pieces.

I wanted to alternate colors so I use my paper cutter to trim the subway art words into strips.

I put them back on my mat alternating red and blue strips.

I used tape to secure the strips down just in case!!

I used my transfer paper to pick up the words and numbers.

I put them on an 8x10 flat canvas.  I burnished the vinyl and peeled the transfer tape off.

I ended up with two of them, one for me and one for a friend!

I was so excited that my idea worked!!

Here is my Patriotic Word Collage Project!

I hope you have a wonderful 4th of July!

Your next stop in the hop is MISTY.
