Happy New Year's Eve!!!
We are almost done with 2013. I have updated my goals for 2014 on my blog header. I have selected my word for 2014 ~ balance. I want to find balance between work and play, craft time and family time, and most importantly being happy with what I have and living in the moment. I am an introverted person and prefer to stay in my craft room all day or evening. I need to maximize my craft time and get out there into the big world more!!!
When I think of balance, my first thought is:
This would be so cool to be able to do!!!
More realistic for me is:
I would be the cat on the right :)
Today I write my favorite annual post - my best posts of the year!! Sit back, grab a cup of coffee (or Diet Dr. Pepper) and enjoy my highlight reel!! I had to limit myself to no more than projects 3 per month!!

Thank You Cards for the firefighters
In June, Kramer moved out into an apartment....26 days later his apartment building burned down. He was very lucky as he was at work when the fire started and his lower level unit had mostly water damage. He recovered 95% of his things.
It was very surreal watching the firefighters work. I have a much greater respect for those men and women!!
The lower unit on the right was his apartment.
The fire started on the second level balcony and spread to the roof. The roof caved in which let the smoke and flames out. Only two pets died in this fire, many were rescued the next day. One resident was treated for smoke inhalation after beating on everyone's doors to wake people up and get them out.
Baseball Layout Tanner played his first season of select baseball.

I hope you enjoyed my tour of 2013!! I love reviewing the year and seeing how my crafting changes.
I have stepped down from three of my 6 Design Team commitments. I am currently designing for Frosted Designs, Let's Scrap and The Buckle Boutique. I also guest post once a month at She's A Sassy Lady. I am selling some of my paper crafts in my friend Robin's store (Robin's Nest). I recently was asked to sell my decorated wine glasses in a new Paint and sip wine store called Twisted Vine that opens in February.
I am very blessed and will work on finding my balance!!!
What a great year in review. You do such awesome scrapbook pages. It takes me forever to get a l/o done, probably because I'm using too many pictures. But how does one choose? And one of my goals is to learn more about the Cameo I've had for 3 months. Sometimes I'm amazed I can do something, and sometimes I'm totally frustrated with it. Happy New Year to you.
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, that's a great look back at all your favorite post...but you had me at the cat picture, lol Thanks for the giggle. Happy New Year my friend, waving hi from the hills of North Carolina ♥
ReplyDeleteWhat a great year to review. I love all of your creations and I am sure I will even love more of them in the new year. I too want to "balance" but balance time for myself I can't seem to get in my crafty room since my 2nd daughter has been born, she is now 15 months old. Not to steal your New Years resolution but that is a good one. I also made a Resolution to lose weight again this year. I always start off great and then a birthday pops up and I am back eating cake and cookies...ugh. Hope you have a great New Year!
