Spring Challenge - Spring Baseball (of course)

Today begins a brand new challenge at Frosted Designs - Spring!  This can be a spring picture, spring in the title or an actual spring in your project!!  Have some fun with it and join us HERE!

Of course being a baseball mom, spring means the beginning of baseball season.  I used some photos of Tanner pitching in our Spring Tournament.  The top 4 teams from Nebraska (as of state last July) played the top 4 teams from Iowa.  We took 3rd place.
I inked the papers with two shades of brown (aka dirt color) and made the frame darker.  I spritzed some gold mist on the background.  I trimmed this Live the Life You Have Imagined and inked it up - I think Tanner is totally doing that right now!!  I even tucked a burlap flower on!
I printed my title out using my Silhouette Studio and kraft cardstock.
I love how this one turned out and will frame it for now!!  I hope you have a wonderful spring!!

Everything used is from Frosted Designs except Tim Holtz Distressed Inks and the kraft cardstock.

Finally 21 Wine Bling!

Turning 21 is a much bigger (and blingier) deal now than it was when I turned 21 a few years ago.  I have decorated wine glasses as well as shot book scrapbook pages for friends much younger than me!  This wine glass is just perfect for the blingy girl on her big night!!!

I created this file using fonts on my computer and my Silhouette Studio.  I cut out the finally in black 651 vinyl.  The 21 is Glitzy Glitter Vinyl from The Buckle Boutique that could be found HERE.  The glitter is embedded into the vinyl and does not rub off!  It is very sparkly too!!

When cutting glitter vinyl on the Cameo, I use the Vinyl setting and add a double cut.  I cut several designs at once - the others you just may see later!!
Weeding is easy once you get a corner pulled up - I use my Cricut Dental Tool to poke the corner and pull it up.
Regular transfer tape and contact paper does not stick well to the glitter, so I use painter's tape instead.
I place it where I want it on the glass, burnish it with a scraper and slowly peel the tape off.
The result is just beautiful!!  I always recommend hand washing my vinyl glasses!

Thanks and have a Blingy Day!!!

2nd Grade LO

Today starts a new challenge at Let's Scrap Sketches!!  I took Tanner's composite class photo from last year and finally got it scrapped!!

I used elements from both pages to make my one page layout.
I love using sketches as a guideline to creating my pages!
I made a banner out of wood pieces and twine.   I also used the letters T M A (Tanner's initials) instead of the ribbons.  He has been asking to write cursive since kindergarten!!!
I added a little heart because he loved his teacher so much!!!
I love how this tuned out!  It is hard to match the flag background in the photo!

I hope you join us at Let's Scrap Sketches to get/stay caught up on your scrapbooks!!!

Tanner Spring Picture LO

Today begins a brand new challenge at Frosted Designs - Splatter!!  I watered down some brown acrylic paint and flicked it off the paint brush onto my paper.  I also took some Dirty Martini Dylusions Ink and poured it in a cup.  I took a paintbrush and flicked it on the paper.
I inked the photo mat and stapled a strip of burlap behind my picture.
This little journal card was perfect for this layout - this is his spring school photo!
I cut my title using my Silhouette Cameo with brown cardstock.

This layout was fun!!  Boys are messy and I see lots of splatters in my house!!!

Baseball Sign

I made this sign for my friend and fellow baseball mom Lindsay.  Our boys play on the same team and we spend a lot of time together!!!  Our husbands are both on the board of our organization - so this sign can hang almost year round!!!

Cheers!!

Today I am featured at The Buckle Boutique BLOG!  I make a lot of wine glasses and am very lucky to be able to sell them at a local Sip and Paint Shop called Twisted Vine Collective (http://twistedvinecollective.com/).  Lately I have been playing with glitter vinyl from The Buckle Boutique!  It is a little thicker to cut, but more delicate to work with.  The glitter is just beautiful on the glass - hard to capture in a photo!!

I designed my word Cheers on my computer and cut out the glitter vinyl using the Vinyl Setting but adding a double cut.
The negative piece just pulls away super easy.
I used my dental tool to weed out the inside pieces.
Regular transfer tape does not stick well to the glitter vinyl, so I use painter's tape.  I burnish it on with a scraper.
I use my spatula tool to gently start the vinyl - encourage it to come off the backing if you will.
I clean my glass surface with rubbing alcohol and let it dry.  Then position the word where I want it and burnish it again.  Slowly peel the tape away.
And I am now ready to celebrate!!!

With all of my vinyl decorated wine glasses, I recommend hand washing!

Have a Blingy Day!!

Gift Card Holders

I hope you had a wonderful Easter!!

Today I am a guest designer at my friend Sheila's BLOG.  Today I am sharing some fun gift card holders.  My aunt wanted some gift card holders for her grandkids and friend's grandkids.  I got out my Cameo and got to work!
I used these pieces from a Silhouette file to create the pocket.  I used the butterfly for the girl card holders.  I used bright papers!
The pocket pieces were folded and adhered inside the card using my ATG gun.
I placed them right above the slit.
I added a little washi tape on the front.  I used chipboard pieces for the boy cards from Boys Rule.  I added gems to the butterfly body and bent the wings up.

These were fun little card holders - I love the versatility of the design and will use this design again!!

Thanks Sheila for having me on your blog today!!

Spring Pictures LO

Today begins a brand new challenge at Let's Scrap Sketches.  I found this gorgeous Quick Quotes paper in my stash and it looked so nice with my son's spring photos - so I had to put these together!!!
This sketch can be used as a 2-page layout, or you can use one of the pages to make a single layout.  If you are a card maker, you can use the design to inspire a card.  I did not have a large photo, so I created a collage of three photos instead.
I added some wood bugs in place of the flowers - as a mom of all boys I don't use many flowers!!!
I printed the title from my Silhouette Studio using a font that I purchased (Desire).  I cut scrapbook paper down to 8 1/2 x 11 and ran it through my printer.
We have traditional fall photos every year and do a spring photo session as a school fundraiser.  The backgrounds are outdoorsy and fun.

I hope you join us at Let's Scrap with your project!!!  You may just win the prize!!!
