Christmas Morning Layout (Christmas in July Blog Hop)

Welcome to Day 1 of the Christmas in July Blog Hop!  I am also featuring this layout at Frosted Designs for this week's button challenge.

I will have a different Christmas layout every day for the next 4 days so please come back and see them!!  You should have arrived from BARBARA!  If you found me first, please go to the BEGINNING so you don't miss anything!!

I started off with some paper from Recollections Old Fashioned Christmas paper pad found at Michaels last Christmas.

On my Gypsy, I put the word "Christmas" on my mat at 2 inches.  I put the letters for the word "Morning" from Don Juan at 0.92 inches and welded the letters together.  I put the numbers "2010" from Don Juan at 0.76 inches.  I found the Holly Leaves from Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons and put the three layers on the mat at 3.64w x 3.47h.

I cut out all the pieces in cardstock.

I used red stickles over the red "Christmas", "2010", and the berries to add some sparkle!

Here is the stickles dry.

I put the year on the bottom of the page.  I am so happy I did not put 2011!!

I glued red and green buttons around the background shape after I adhered the photos.  I put maroon and silver ribbon across both pages and put the holly leaf over the top corner of the photo of my boys (the good one)!  Notice the youngest is upside down in the last photo!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Lynda from Memories in Tyme is giving away a $25 gift card to use at any store to one person.  In order to be eligible for the drawing, you must be a follower on all of the blogs in this hop!

I also have some blog candy ~ I dug into my Christmas pile!  You will have up to 4 chances to enter, one for each day of the hop.  All you need to do is #1 be or become a follower, #2 leave me a comment (once each day during the 4 day blog hop) and #3 leave me a way to contact you or please check back on the 26th to see if you won!!
Your next stop in the hop is the fabulous JENNY!

  30. This is great! I always forget to add the year to things and it's so very important. Love the layout. You've been busy this week! (I've been scrolling down from day 4 of the hop);) Thanks for the chance to win. I forgot to mention my favorite memory on Day 3's post... It was when I was little and got my very first Nintendo. My brothers, who were much older than me, stayed up with me til 3:00 AM playing Duck Hunt and Mario Bros. and we all crashed in the living room with the TV still on. It was great because it was rare that we were all together. Thanks again for the chance to win some goodies!
