From Our House To Yours (Christmas in July Blog Hop Day 2)

Welcome to Day 2 of the Christmas in July Blog Hop!  You should have arrived from HERE.  If this is your first stop, please go HERE to the beginning!

For my project today, I wanted to make a layout that showcased our annual Christmas Picture Card.

My card measured 4x8, so I started with a rectangle from George and Basic Shapes sized to 4.25 x 8.25.  I used the Hello Kitty Font cartridge for the words.  House is sized at 1 inch in capital letters.  I copied and pasted the letters to a second layer to cut them out in a different color too.  The "from our to yours" is cut out of "round" at 1.12 inches.  I welded the words to my rectangle.
I cut it out in black.

I cut out a mat in maroon to put behind the photo card, but decided I liked the black better.

I cut out the word "House" in maroon and adhered it on top of the black.

I found this paper from the Deja Views Fair Isle Christmas Paper pad.  Because the paper is a little busy, I wanted to keep my layout simple.

Don't forget you have a chance to win some blog candy!

Lynda from Memories in Tyme is giving away a $25 gift card to use at any store to one person. In order to be eligible for the drawing, you must be a follower on all of the blogs in this hop!

  1. So pretty - I have so many favorite traditional picturs I send out every year of my girls that I really need to scrap. I keep saying I am going to make a mini with them. My favorite one-I was trying to take a picture of my 3 girls infront of the fireplace (in their robes-always had to match somehow) holding our dog. The dog was not cooperating and at one point he yelped, the girls started laughing so hard - That was when I took a picture (so natural) my favorite!!! tfs Happy to be in the hop with you. http://kimmarieskorner.blogspot.com

  4. Another beautiful project, I love the way you use your gypsy, makes your creation one of a kind! My favorite holiday picture is one of my 2 kids, hubby, myself and my Mom on my sisters stairs. It was the last photos taken of us with my Mom 6 years ago. That was Moms last Christmas with us, one day she was fine then she woke up with a sore in her mouth and 6 weeks later she was gone to oral cancer. I will cherish that picture for ever!

  8. Another great layout! I can't recall receiving any memorable Christmas photo cards though I'm sure there had to have been a couple over the years. I have some Christmas photos of my sister and her family that I love though and I have made shadowboxes for each member of her family with them. TFS! This hop is a lot of fun.

  23. This is so beautiful! Thanks again for the awesome tips on the Gypsy. Fantastic idea. My favorite Christmas photo card that I received was from my BFF Michele.
