Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!

I was a little busy today creating this skirt out of tulle (the picture cut off the skirt) and I got to help at my son's class party.  After the school party, I came back to my in-home daycare for our party!!!

I LOVE Halloween and hope you have a great and safe night tonight!!

I found the idea for this skirt on Pinterest.  I used 9 rolls of black tulle to make my skirt.  Of course I decided last night to make it.......

Here is my SpOOkTacUlaR project:

I made this Halloween/Birthday card to celebrate Pam's Spooktacular 40th Birthday!

I started out with my Gypsy and Chic and Scary.  I used this image and hid the witch hat.  I sized the images to 4 inches.

The image on the left was cut out of the striped paper (see below).  The image on the right was cut in black cardstock and had the inner oval cut.  This gave me a black frame for the striped layer.

I sized three witch's boots from Happy Hauntings to 2.33 inches.  I cut them out in green, orange and purple.  I ended up only using the purple and green patterned cardstock.

I cut out these 3D flowers from Art Philosophy in the same three patterned cardstock papers.  I sized the flowers to 4 inches and 5 inches.  I used my tweezers and rolled the flowers from the inside in and glued them together.

I added some stickles on the edges.  I used black, purple and lime green.

I trimmed off the shoe part of the boot in green and adhered it on top of the purple layer.  I pop-dotted the shoe to the card.

I inked the edges of the stocking and shoe with black ink.  I tucked some purple crinkle ribbon behind the frame.
I used a KinderStampo stamp for my sentiment.

I used glue dots to adhere the flowers and added pearls to the centers.  I also added two pearls to the shoe.

I have a little blog candy for you today!

Under the Lights Baseball LO

This week the challenge at Frosted Designs is Sports.  As a mom of three boys who all play (or have played) baseball, it is no surprise that I chose to create a baseball layout.

Tanner made the All-Star Team at the end of his coach pitch season last summer and got to play Under the Lights.

I used the lights from Baseball Cartridge sized to 12.37 inches to frame the 2 page layout.  I opened up a 12x24 mat on my Gypsy to set it up.

I used the All Star and Swish sized to 1.46 and 3.31 inches.  I used Lyrical Letters for UNDER THE sized to 1 inch and GAME sized to .88 inches.  I used Varsity Letter for LIGHTS sized to 1.77 inches.

I cut out the letters in white and red cardstock.

I cut out the lights in brown cardstock.

I used my cut page as a template to adhere my letters.

I pop-dotted the center photo to the page to give it a little dimension.

I tucked in some cardstock stickers.

I used yellow stickles to light up the lights.

Tanner had so much fun playing under the lights!!

Hope Breast Cancer Awareness Card (Sweet Sassy Diva)

This week at Sweet Sassy Diva's Blog, we are celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness.  I wanted to make a fun window card with my Gypsy.  As a mom of all boys, I have a very limited supply of pink paper...thank goodness I have a Cricut Imagine!!

I found this paper pattern on Nursery Tails.  It reminds me of boobies!!!  That is what we are celebrating here ~ healthy boobies!!!  We are running, racing, praying, sharing and pledging money all for boobies!  Now where was I??  Oh yes, paper.  I used this paper for my card base.

I used two frames from Gypsy Wandering sized at 4 inches each.  I hid the inside cut on one of the frames with Hide Contour.

I used the bra from Forever Young.  I hid the panties as I just wanted the bra.  I sized the bra to 3 inches.  I put one bottom layer of the bra on the same mat as the card base and hid all of the inside cuts.  I centered the bra in the oval window and welded the three pieces all together to create my card base.

Here it is all cut out of my boobie paper!

On a separate Gypsy layer, I put the two layers of the bra.

I cut out the pieces in pink and white cardstock.

I added some sparkle (stickles) and a flower.  Every girl needs a little bling!

I am mainly a scrapbooker, so I don't have many stamps.  I did find one that would work with my card on PinkByDesign Just My Ticket that said Hope.

It is my hope that we find a cure for breast cancer very soon.  It is also my hope that every person (men get breast cancer too) who has breast cancer or who will get breast cancer will kick it's butt!!!

Boo Whoo Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the Boo Whoo Blog Hop!!

***UPDATE*** Whoot Whoot ~ Just found out that I made My Cricut Craft Room's Design Team!!!

Thank you for joining us at My Cricut Craft Room's Boo Whoo Blog Hop!!  Today's sponsor is Erica's Craft Room.  Please comment on all of the blogs in the hop to be entered to win the prizes:  Teresa Collins Chic and Scary Cricut Cartridge and Pumpkin Carvings Cricut Cartridge!!  You must be a follower of My Cricut Craft Room in order to win.

Here is a complete line up in case you get lost along the way!!

And now on to my project:
Real owls creep me out BIG TIME, but paper owls are super cute.  Maybe it is the head turning thing??  Maybe it is the screeching (or hooting )?  Maybe it is the size of their eyes?  I am not really sure, but there is something about owls that creeps me out.....

I almost did not make owls for my banner, but these ended up so cute!!!!

I used the owl from Create A Critter and sized it to 4 inches.  I used my Gypsy for easier cutting.  I cut out my owls out of brown Kraft cardstock.

This Gypsy layer has the Owl layer pieces on it.  I cut out this layer twice using a total of 4 different coordinating papers.

The third layer held the rest of the Owl layer pieces on it.  I cut out the branches in brown cardstock.  Later I  decided to alternate which way the branches faced.

I used black stickles to glam up the eyelashes, noses and chest feathers on my owls.  I used orange stickles for the claws.  I used brown cross grain ribbon and my Crop-A-Dile to attach the banner pieces together!

What is something that freaks you out in real life, but is totally cute made out of paper??

Thank you for stopping by!!  Your next stop in the hop is HOLLY!
