Family Layout ~ Frosted Designs Sketch Along Tuesday Challenge

Here is my take on the Frosted Designs Sketch Along Tuesday Challenge this week.  You can create and enter your own layout HERE.

Here is the sketch designed by the lovely Debbie Burns!
I started with this frame from Fancy Frames.  I hid the inner cut so I would have a mat for my photo.  I cut the mat at 7.08w x 6.04h.  I took the word "Family" from Home Accents.  I thought the swirls matched the paper.

I cut them out from purple cardstock from the Jewel pack I found at Michaels.  As you can see, I already lost the dot to the "i".  No worries, I used a purple crystal!!
I took these flowers from Close to my Heart Art Philosophy (so loving this cart!!!!!) and cut out four of them sized at 5.44w x 5.24h.
I cut out two of them from the same purple cardstock and two from lavendar cardstock I found in my stash.
I used my quilling tool to roll up the flowers from the outside in.
Once the flower is rolled up, I let it go a bit so it unrolled a little.
I used my Scotch liquid glue to adhere the flower to the base.
After the flowers dried, I glued the edges of the petals and sprinkled some Martha Stewart purple glitter on them.
Here is the end result!  I used stickles on a different project but I wanted a softer look here.
This is my aunt and my cousin at a recent family get together.  I am going to frame this in a 12x12 black frame (minus the glass) and give it to my cousin for Christmas.  We make gifts for each other each year.  Kristin, if you see this please act surprised at Christmas!!!

I am also entering my project here:
