Now on to my banner.....

I started with this banner shape from Birthday Bash sized at 3.98w x 5.50h.

I cut the pieces out with this batty paper.

I cut out some pumpkins at 3.35 inches tall from Pumpkin Carving with this orange checked paper.

Then I had some fun!  I cut out some hats from several cartridges so the pumpkins could wear costumes!!  I found them on Everyday Paper Dolls, Paper Doll Dress Up and Happy Hauntings.  I used the pumpkins as my guide to size them.
I put some scraps on my mat to cut out the hats.

Here are my hats!

I snazzed them up with stickles.

I put green stems on my pumpkins with stickles.

I took purple acrylic paint and painted the edges of my banner.
I added these circles from Elegant Edges (cut at 4.79w x 4.57h) behind the pumpkins.  I cut out the letters from Happy Hauntings at 1.5 inches.

Here you can see some of the hats!

I hope the kids and their families like my banner!  I wanted it to be more cute than scary!
I have a little of my own Blog Candy to share with you also!!  In order to be eligible to win, you need to "trick or treat"!  Leave a comment and tell me about a Halloween or Fall  memory.  If you like my work become a follower.  It is helpful if you provide me a way to contact you if you win the treat!!

Thank you for stopping by and supporting a great cause!!!  Your next stop is my good friend Bobbi Jo at SweetSassyDiva!

Lori, thank you for sharing all of the details and fun of how you made your banner. I've gotten the privilege of actually HAVING your banner and seeing it in person and it's even prettier than the pictures. SO much fun!!

I have many fun Halloween memories of my years growing up, but my most enjoyable are those seen through the eyes as a Mother. I remember one year fondly, when my daughter decided to be "Winter" for Halloween. Not a snow queen, not a snow bunny, but "winter." She dressed up all in white, and cut out little snowflakes that she taped to her dress. She carried a basket of fake snow that she planned on tossing. All her idea! Well, that lasted til about 2 houses, when she stumbled and dumped a winter's worth on a neighbor's driveway. Then she was a "bride". Or the time she was Dr. Seuss's Cat in the Hat. Or "One Night Stand" -- a bureau drawer (box) with a lamp and alarm clock glued to the top.

Thank you again for participating in this very special Hop!

Fondly,
Ellen ♥ CardMonkey

OMGosh! You did such an awesome job. I really love the hat idea! How super fun! I totally love Halloween and my favorite memories are of when I was little and my big brother would take me trick or treating. I rarely got to see him cause he was already out of the house by the time I was five so spending time with him was always the best thing in the world for me. :0) I always went (at least 3 or 4 years) as a Punk Rocker! LOL Gotta love the 80s. :0)

Thanks for the chance to win!

Lori, what a wonderful banner! You definitely put some work into it. It certainly would be a labor of love if I were to do a banner like that -- a bit too intensive for me!

Great job!

What a beautiful banner. My favorite Halloween memory is going to Grandma's house with my children. We would sit and talk and just enjoy the evening. She loved seeing all the kids dressed up. I miss it now.

Great banner and wonderful cause. TFS.

My favorite fall memory is when my oldest grandson was 17 months old. It was his first time playing in the leaves and he spent hours building piles and then jumping and throwing the leaves in the air.

Your banner is adorable I just love how it turned out and for such a great cause. I just know that all of these banners will brighten the days of the children at Pediatric Specialty Care and the staff and the families.
Thanks for all of your hard work on this hop.

I have a funny but disgusting Halloween memory... Let's see I was in 12th grade and My mom was having a Halloween Party at our house and we invited all of the neighborhood kids it was great. Well My, Best Friend, her Boyfriend, my boyfriend and I were all out in our back yard in the "graveyard" to spook the kids as they walked thru well we were kneeling down on the ground and the kids came into the back yard and as my best friends boyfriend got up, now we were all in a hurry, well he accidentally hit me in the nose and my nose started to bleed, so the whole time we're doing our skit my nose was bleeding and my mom thought it was fake blood and she loved it.... She turned white when I went into the house and told her.... that wasn't planned mom my nose is really bleeding....Oh well all in the name of a good scare i say... we love halloween in my family.

What a great banner and I love all the detail you shared. In regards to Halloween memories, there was one year that we visited my Dad at his apartment. We were not allowed to go trick or treating so he let us ring his bell about 20 times and we said trick or treat and received a treat of course :D I am a follower.

This is really a cute banner! I have all of these carts and am going to have to do something like this soon! I love these pumpkins and their hats. I think you did a superb job! So festive! Love it.

My memory is going out with my dad trick or treating and he would carry a pillow case for each of us. When our bucket got too full we would dumb it in. Every house participated back then, so lots of candy. Then we would come home, dump it out on the floor and my mom would take all of the 3 musketeer’s bars. She is 74 now and still has that sweet tooth and has them stashed all over her house. LOL tfs Tami

Very cute!! That array of hats is a riot- great idea! As for a memory, something I need to start soon with my son is "find the ghost." When I was a kid, that was a game we had at my Halloween parties- my mom would cut a simple ghost from an index card and hide it somewhere in the living room or dining room and we had to find it. So simple and we had SUCH a blast doing it!

What a colorful, sassy banner. I love all the details to it.

My favorite Halloween was when my son was 3 and went trick or treating -- first time he really understood what it was all about. After he went around the neighborhood, he helped me pass out candy to all the little ones that came to the house. He used to get so excited seeing others all dressed up and then knowing that he was helping me pass out candy. Miss those days (he's 21 now).

Your banner is great!! I'd love to see it in person too because these pictures never really give them justice..

When my son, Luke was three we took him trick or treating and he went to a door, said trick or treat and the lady handed him a Reese bar..He looked at her and very politely said
"No thank you.." and walked away! I was astonished and I asked, Luke why did you not take the Reese bar and he replied.."I don't like them" But "Luke", I said.."honey..mommy and daddy do!!!" lol

Your banner is so cute. The kids will love it. My halloween memory.. when I was in Jr. high, we had a halloween blizzard, it was soo much snow it shut the school down. Where I live they rarely close school, I think it closed 5 or 6 times the whole time I was in school. Trick or Treating in snow is hard! :)
