10. Lori: YOU ARE HERE

I decided to decorate a gift bag for my project.  I used my Gypsy (of course)!  I found "It's Your Day" from Celebrations and sized it to 3.63w x 5.00h.  I found the butterflies from Hannah Montana.  I cut out one for the bag in the shadow mode and both sets for the gift tag.  The bag butterfly is 3.38w x 2.53h.  The tag butterfly is 2.25 inches tall (each piece is a different width, but the height is the same and they layer nice).

Here is my screen shot.  Notice the bigger butterfly is rotated.  I did that on the mat to mimic what I wanted on the bag.  That helped me determine the size of the butterfly and words I needed.

I coverd a white paper bag from Michaels with this pretty purple butterfly paper while my images were cutting out.

Then I took my big butterfly and these ART C beads and mini balls (found at Michaels on clearance right now) and some Glossy Accents and created my beaded butterfly.

This is how it looks when wet.

While my butterfly was drying, I assembled my ribbon bow.

I added some purple stickles to the words ~ every girl needs a little sparkle!

And put it all together!

Here is the butterfly dry.

The stickles dry.

And here is the tag.  I cut off the yellow antenae and only glued the center of the butterfly down.  I bent up the wings.  You can write on the back of the purple butterfly.

Here is my completed bag!  I hope you enjoyed my tutorial!!  I have a little blog candy for you.

One of my favorite birthday memories actually involves the birthday girl, Susan! This past May, we went to the beauty salon together and donated our looong hair to Locks Of Love. It was a great experience!

I love the idea of a gift bag! Even though the pictures are a little dark, I can tell how much detail went into the butterfly sequining and design! Very cool! Knowing Susan, she will LOVE this (especially since it has her favorite colors)!

My favorite birthday story was this past year, after we had lost everything and were living in the smallest place ever, my boys and their father piled into bed the morning of my birthday to snuggle me and each tell me what their birthday wish for me was. It was a priceless morning well spent!

Thanks for sharing your project! I'm a follower!

Other than this birthday (hop) my favorite birthday was #6. We moved into a new place on my birthday and they had a block party (a city thing). There was cotton candy, music and a jumpy thing and I thought it was all for ME :)

The bag is fabulous and I love the bling. Your attention to detail is fantastic and I am so glad I am a follower

Thank you for being a part of my special birthday weekend :)

Happy Scrappin'

Very cute bag! Purple is my favorite color and just by chance, I too found those same beads on clearance at Michaels and had to buy them LOL Wasn't sure what I would do with them, but what a great idea! Favorite Bday memory is my 13th when I went to a really nice restaurant (1st time in my life) & ordered trout. They served it with the eye balls in! OMG I couldn't eat it. LOL tfs Tami
