11th Day of Christmas (Frosted Designs Challenge)

On the 11th day of Christmas, my project gave to me ~ 11 Banner Flags!!!

I chose a non-traditional banner for this layout and had a lot of fun creating it!!  I challenge you to use a banner with 11 flags on your project - or as a project!!  You can use one banner or more with a total of 11 flags.  Banner flags can be made out of any shape so be sure to have fun!!

I chose to use banner flags shaped like ornaments, not the traditional flag shapes for this layout.  I was inspired by a layout I saw on Pinterest!

I cut this doily shape from CTMH Artiste sized to 6 inches.  I cut it out of maroon cardstock.

I used Peace from MS Seasonal Cake Art and sized it to 1.35 inches.  I cut it out of hunter green metallic paper.

I used a variety of cartridges and sizes to cut out ornaments.  I used CTMH Art Philosophy, Holiday Cakes, MS Seasonal Cakes, George (star) and (CCR)Teresa Collins - Christmas Ornaments.

The sizes range from 1 inch to 2.5 inches.

I cut the ornaments out of solid maroon or green cardstock and some Christmas paper.

I used some cuttlebug embossing folders to dry emboss some of the ornaments and the photo mat.

I inked the edges with Vintage Photo ink.  I ran the ink over the embossing too.

I used thin ribbon to string my banner together.

The yellow star was a little bright, so I inked it up to dull it down.

I used my new square punch from Epiphany Crafts to cut out this paper square.

I put the square in the coordinating charm and put a Bubble Cap on top.  I tied a ribbon on the top and added this charm to my layout.

When my youngest was born, I got a photo of my three boys' hands layered together....well, the baby was only 2 weeks old and would only make a fist.  He is grabbing my middle son's pinky in the first photo.  The boys wanted to re-do the photo when Tanner was older and this is the result.

My boys are now 22, 17 and 7 and this is one of my favorite pictures!!

Ironically, there is little "peace" when they are all here as they are typical boys :)

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to link up your project at Frosted Designs!!
