Worlds of Fun LO (Let's Scrap)

Hello - Today my layout is featured at Let's Scrap for our new Sketch Challenge.  We moved our middle son into his college dorm and then went to Kansas City, MO for the weekend.  When we planned this weekend trip, we did not know Tyler had freshman camp the same weekend - so we had to go without him.  It was weird, but we made the best of it

The Sketch Challenge today is:

The pictures I used were from Worlds of Fun.

I used paper from Pink Paislee:  Hey Kid.
I added some pics of the boys riding rides.  I journaled on a tag and added scraps of papers to match the layout.

I cut out the title on my Cameo and created a shadow (offset) layer.

I cut these tags (from the Silhouette online store) and tucked them behind the photos.

I cut the roller coaster from Silhouette online store.

Blinged out To-Go Cup

If you are looking for my Balance Layout, please go HERE.

Today I have a little bling to share with you!  This project was easy-peasy!

I used a red Resin Rhinestone Sticker Sheet from The Buckle Boutique and a pair of scissors to decorate a to-go cup from the Dollar Tree.

I made a paper template (trial and error as this was my second attempt) and used my Cutter Bee scissors.  These scissor blades are coated and will cut through sticky things with ease!

I put the sticker sheet on and it is done!!

I have hand washed this material and it stays on.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Add a little bling to your day!!!

Balance Layout (She's A Sassy Lady)

Happy 2014!!

Today I am featured at She's A Sassy Lady's Blog.  Today I am sharing a layout of my word for 2014 - Balance.

I strive for:

But this is more realistic:

So this year I am going to try to find more balance in my life!!

I am using the page on the left as my sketch from Let's Scrap for my layout.

For my layout, I used papers from Pink Paislee - I just love these colors!!  I added a selfie I took in front of my grandparent's gold tinsel Christmas tree.

I found New Year from the Silhouette store.

I used a font purchased from the Silhouette store for my title.

I inked the edges of my papers with burgundy ink.

I finished with a striped ribbon up the side to balance my layout.

I hope you find the balance you need in 2014!!!

40 is Fabulous Wine Glasses (KCC Blog Hop)

Hello and welcome to KCC's Anything Goes Blog Hop!!

Here we are in a New Year and with all new projects for the Hop!  Today Robin Lane from Create-A-Latte will be hosting.

Do you like paper crafts, making cookies, crocheting, making pillows, or working with vinyl?  Really - anything goes for more fun and inspiration from us ladies who love to craft!

You should have arrived from HERE.  If you found me first, please go back to the BEGINNING so you don't miss a thing!!

I have a friend who is celebrating her 40th birthday this month along with her childhood best friend.  I made them wine glasses to use at the party!

I used some fonts on my computer and my Cameo to cut out the vinyl.  Renee's favorite color is red and Kelly's is green - so I custom made them in the colors they love.  I used white to accent.  I cut two sizes of dots and added them around the sides and back.

I added these bows for fun!!

Thanks for stopping by today - I hope your 2014 is off to a great start!!

Daycare Christmas Party

I am participating in a 30 Day LOAD (layout a day) challenge at Let's Scrap!  You do not need to use their sketches but I find it easier to use them!  There is also no penalty if you don't finish 30 in the month - because we all know life sometimes gets in the way of scrapbooking!!

For my layout today, I used this sketch from 4-2-12.  I pick out my pictures first, then search though the library of sketches to see what will work.  The best thing is - the sketch is just the starting point!!

The title on the sketch reminded me of a banner.  I found these stockings in the Silhouette online store and used them instead.  I did not want the red to get lost on my paper (Christmas paper pad from Martha Stewart) so I used the offset tool to create a shadow layer.  I added stickles to the top of each stocking and pop-dotted them to my layout.

I used the font Brannboll Fet for my title.  I welded the letters together and cut out.

I used the negative piece of my paper (the part you throw away) for a template to glue down my words straight!

I added Ho Ho Ho (from the Silhouette Store) and printed out these 2x2 pics from my cell phone using my Zink hAppy printer.

Side note:  The little boy on the left does not have a black eye - it is a spot on my lens I believe!  I just noticed it now - need to clean it!!!

Every year we have a wonderful Christmas Party.  Santa comes and the children are encouraged to bring extended family!  It is my favorite Christmas Party every year!!!

A New Year and A New Design Team! (The Perfect Tree)

Happy New Year!!!

I am excited to start my 2nd term as a Design Team Member at Let's Scrap with a New Team!!

This is the sketch we were to follow for our DT Application Layout.
At Let's Scrap - there is a weekly sketch challenge, as well as Tutorials, LOAD (Layout A Day) groups and tons of other inspiration!!  You should come check us out at Let's Scrap!!!  I have completed several layouts for my albums the past 4 months!!

I used my cameo to cut the pine branches.  I cut everything in two shades of green so I could layer them.

My boys!!  This place offers free hot cocoa or hot cider, Santa is in the woods with candy canes and you ride in a hay rack to get to the fields.  They have reindeer and Clydesdale horses on the property.  They used to offer a horse drawn carriage ride further into the fields, but lost one of the horses this past year.

I layered the dark green tree below the light green tree for interest.  In the photo, you can see the tree on the top of my car.

We took a family photo behind the carriage (Tanner sat inside) and used it as our family Christmas Card this year.

I hope you have a wonderful 2014!!!
