Without further ado, here is my banner:

No matter their limitations, the eyes of the kids who reside at Pediatric Specialty Care light up when given a handmade banner or card. They love the bright colors, and knowing that there are so many people from around the world care enough to send them these decorations for their rooms.

I pulled out my gypsy and started my banner.  I am trying to use different shapes in my designs, so I started with these triangle banner pieces from Art Philosophy.
I used the Basic/Icon Layer function and put these triangle banner pieces on my mat at 3.82 inches.  I hid the inner cuts of three of them.  I welded the letters J,O and Y at 2.29, 2.10 and 2.29 inches respectively.
I cut out the banner pieces with gold cardstock and Christmas paper.
I copied the letters onto Layer 2 and cut them out with burgundy cardstock.
I cut out the ornaments at 2.06 inches using the burgundy cardstock and Christmas paper.  I cut out the word LOVE in the gold cardstock at 1 inch.
I alternated the letters and fastened the pieces with burgundy ribbon.  I added some Christmas embellishments and flowers.
And here is the banner all together!

Thank you again for visiting today. I hope you're inspired to make your own Holiday Banner ... let your inner Elf emerge!  Your next stop is the stunning Susan!!

...and stop back tomorrow, when ~20 different crafters will be showing their banners, and giving you more chances to win blog candy!

I love your banner because it has a vintage look to it and I love things old because they remind me of my childhood even though I'm not that old. I need to play more with my Gypsy. Jearise in Lorby's World at jearise at gmail . com I'm a follower.

I love the simplisity of your Banner... Thank you for sharing how you made it. This is a wonderful cause, having had one of my children in a Special care unit for the first three months of his life, I know how hard it is for these children and their families. You ladies ROCK!!!
Great job!

I love this. Now I wish I had a Gypsy. The ability to include 2 words in the same banner and make them stand on their own is awesome. Keep up the great work!

Very cool banner, I love the vintage feel it has! I also love how you put the letters in the banner by welding them in there, make a unique look to the banner, I love too how you put the letters l-o-v-e on the ornaments in the banner. What joy this banner will give hanging in a special room!!!

Hi Lori ... I didn't want to miss the chance to see if Blogger will cooperate with me THIS TIME (like it didn't this morning!!) and allow me to properly THANK YOU for participating in this hop. You are a gem, and I am privileged to know you. Your work is so beautiful and creative!!! You do amazing work with your GYPSY in hand ... I haven't figured out how to SEE that tiny screen on my Gypsy so I haven't really used it much at all. But seeing how you can get it all designed and cut ... your banners are ADORABLE!! ... I need to give it another whirl.

Again, thank you so much. Keep that Cricut-E warm, your Cozy's coming soon!!!
