I made a Thanksgiving banner for my project today. It turned out so cute that one of my friends wants to buy it from me. I typically give my work away and took this as a big compliment!!
For my banner flags, I used these leaves from Art Philosophy at 5.18 inches.
I used this fall paper that I found in my stash and cut out 10 leaves.
I used A Child's Year for my turkeys. I cut them at 2.41 inches. I flipped one so they would be looking at each other. The font is Hannah Montana cut at 1.47 inches.
I cut several doily shapes from Art Philosophy and Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art. I found this wheat paper in a Fall paper pad from last year. I inked the edges of the leaves and doilies with Vintage Photo ink.
I used my Cuttle Bug to emboss the letters with Swiss Dots. It is hard to see, but the paper is metallic.
I used twine to connect my leaves. I found it easier to tape the twine to the back of the leaf stem, but wanted a knot. I used a separate piece of twine to tie the knot.
And here is my completed banner!
I have a super cool Blog Candy today!
I was recently asked to review the scrapbooking software from MyMemories and was given a copy to give away!! I prefer the traditional scrapbooking method (love getting my hands messy) but I do like making digital books and calendars. I spent several days playing around with this software and I have to say it was easy to learn. There are also a lot of FREE digital designs you can download (I was surprised)!! I am thinking I will be creating a ton more projects in the very near future!!!
I created 8 pages and an album in a few short hours!!! I loved the embellishments, especially the stitching!! I plan on printing out the pages and hanging them in 12x12 frames in my home daycare because the photos are of my daycare kids. I also created a mini album and was so happy to see the software had spell check! I have at least one typo in every other digital album I have created!! I am also working on an album of our recent Disney Cruise vacation!!
So I have 2 awesome things for you today. The first is a chance to win the software FREE (a $40 value). You just need #1 to be or become a follower here, #2 go to http://www.mymemories.com/ and find two FREE Downloads that you would use. For an additional chance to win, just do any or all of the following and leave me a separate comment telling me you did:

I been tossing around the idea of a banner for Thanksgiving at our house, just haven't figured out exactly what I want yet.
I am a follower and the two packs I like are actually 3 because I couldn't decide between two of them. I like IT HAPPENED THIS YEAR and then the two I couldn't decide on, WALK IN SPLENDOR and TOTALLY AUTUMN, I like Totally Autumn alot, but then I saw the Walk In Splendor and couldnt decide between the two. lol
