I created two different layouts for my project today.  The first one is a picture of me when I was 11 years old (1975):
Every Sunday in the summer, we spent the day at the lake.  We had a cabin and my dad had a boat.  If you look real close you can see the boat in this picture.  I found this paper and knew it would be perfect for my layout - it reminds me of some of the wall paper we had (the shapes not the color).
I photo copied my mom's writing from the back of my photo.  My mom passed away in 1989 so I don't have much of her handwriting!!

I have red in my swimsuit so I added a row of red fish to the bottom of the paper.
I found a 70ish font and cut out my title with my Silhouette Cameo.
I added a touch of red to the top corner.
And my favorite part of this layout is the yellow anchor paper sun!!

This next layout is one of my Halloween costumes.  I am younger here - I am guessing 4 or 5.  My mom made my angel costume.
I used this scrapbook paper because it reminded me of the Raggedy Ann doll I had as a child.
I used a chipboard pumpkin and Best Costume banner on my chevron photo frame.  My mom was very proud of this costume!!
I strung a banner of chipboard letters with some twine across the top of my layout.

Thanks for swinging by!!
Up next is the Marvelously Groovy Michelle!!

Here is our complete line up in case you get lost along the way:

your layouts are so sweet! I love seeing your memories come to life including your mother's handwriting. That is a fantastic idea! I often scan the back but for more of a historical record. I already have the info, I just need to print it! I love that sun, too! great detail!

I love how each element of your pages remind you of something specific from your childhood.

I covet handwriting of those who have passed too. Especially now when they don't even teach kids to write in cursive anymore.
Great layouts!

LOVE both of your layouts. I laughed as I was reading what you wrote about the paper matching a wall paper in design. Reminded me of some of the crazy stuff of the 70's. Enjoy how you used your papers and photos and tied them into the 70's.

Great job on your layouts. I love how you used the pattern papers on the first layout Adds so much interest. The second one reminds me of my childhood. My mom made me the same angel costume, so very different from what the kids have now a days.
