Christmas is for Kids Banner Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Christmas is for Kids Banner Blog Hop!

If you are looking for Day 1 of the Blog Hop, please go  HERE.  You should have arrived from CHER's blog.  If you found me first, please go to the BEGINNING so you don't miss out on the blog candy!!

It is my pleasure to participate in the CHRISTMAS is for KIDS BANNER HOP, where fantastic and generous crafters donated their talents, time and holiday banners to the children at Pediatric Specialty Care in Bucks County, PA. (See http://www.pediatricspecialty.com/)

Here is a complete list of blogs in this hop:

And there's BLOG CANDY to be had!! THANK YOU to our generous sponsors who have provided prizes to those who hop along. Here are our sponsors and their prizes:

One winner will receive four free digi-images of their own choosing from www.MeljenDesigns.com!

www.HappyScrappy.us will provide one winner with a code valued at $20 toward your purchase from their terrific site!

Beautiful ribbons, embellishments, charms and more are on the http://meiflower.co.uk/ site. They'll be giving a voucher valued approx $32 USD.

All hoppers are eligible to win. Here's how:

Follow the blog and comment on as many projects as you choose -- the more blogs where you comment and follow, the more chances you have to win. There's just one catch: please actually comment on the project, which shows you've looked at the project, not just cut/pasting random comments ("CUTE! TYFS") only to win the prize.

Random.org will choose the winners, subject to verification that winners have met the above-stated criteria.

And now on to my banner:

This is me going crazy with a banner.  For some reason, I have a hard time creating a banner with different shapes and different papers.....and this is the best I could do!!

I uses Birthday Bash and cut these banner flags at 5.15 inches.

I cut them out with maroon cardstock.

I opened another Layer on my Gypsy and put the banner layers on my mat also at 5.15 inches.
I took plaid and holly paper for my layers.
Here are my banner flags!
I wanted stars to anchor my banner.  I grabbed these stars from George and cut out two of them at 4.18 inches and two of them at 5.24 inches.  I flipped one of each of the stars so they angle into the banner.
I used the same maroon cardstock for the bottom layer and the plaid for the top layer.

I took the letters from Winter Woodland and cut them out at 3 inches.  I took these doilies from Art Philosophy and cut them out at 3.82 inches.

I inked the doilies with Antique Linen and adhered the letters on.
I used my Crop-A-Dile to punch the holes in my banner flags and stars.  I used some Making Memories embellishments on the flags.

Thank you for joining us today!!  Don't forget to visit all of the blogs for a chance to win some great prizes!!  Your next stop is DENA!

Hello, girlfriend!! Your banner from Day #2 is JUST as sweet as your Day #1 banner, though I just LOVE the colors and shapes of this one best. Maybe it's the stars with the poinsettias? It "speaks to me"!!

Thank you again for participating in this special cause Hop. It's a pleasure getting to know you just a little bit through your talents that you so graciously share. May God's blessings be great this holiday season of joy.

Fondly,

I may need to make my own recreation of this.... it looks so pretty this would even be cute made really small and then used to decorate a Christmas tree... I like the plaid paper you used super cute and very Christmasy... I use the same Birthday Bash Banners for my Banners I just like how they come out.... you used alot of the same cartridges that I would have used. Very nice job.

Great 'joy' will come to a child from this lovely banner. Also, thank you so much for the tutorial, wow, I love that helps in making one, since I haven't made a banner before. I am so inspired by this blog hop to make one - I needed a little push (doing a swap)!

Great job!
another day of hopping and seeing wonderful projects.

I really like how you shared the details & how you used your Gypsy. I don't have one & have considered getting one...so it was helpful to see it in action.

Holly is one of my holiday favorites; I like how you used it. The doilies look so antiqued & I really like the lettering. You did a nice job!!
