It's All About Pets Blog Hop

If you found me first, please go to the BEGINNING of the hop.  You should have arrived from HERE.  Thanks for joining us for the All About Pets Blog Hop!  We are celebrating pets!!

Funny that I signed up for an All About Pet Hop when I have no pets.  I am allergic to cats and most dogs and I run an in-home daycare.  I have dog-nephews and even a horse-neice and horse-nephew, but I already scrapped and posted the pictures I had.....   I needed to make a thank you card for a friend who is a cat lover and I thought that would be perfect for this hop!

I am trying to use my expensive dust collector (aka Imagine) so I found this cat from the Best Friends cartridge.  I took the cat paper and filled in the scallop shape to create a mat so I could add dimension.  I also cut out some other images (as I typically do when I use my Imagine) so I can fill up the paper and create less waste.
Here are my images printed and cut out.
I inked the edges of the layers with Vintage ink from Tim Holtz.  I adhered the layers together along with a strip of blue paper behind the mat.  I used stickles to glitter it up ~ my friend Linda is a self-proclaimed glitter girl!!
I tucked this tag inside the card.
I added a couple of gems to each side and to her collar.  I am including my extra cat cuts in the card for her to use if she wishes.

Here is my blog candy today ~ a mini album that would make a great pet brag book and some kitty and doggie buttons.  Please leave a comment and share a pet story.

We had a big black cat named Fraidy when I was a kid (before my allergies kicked in) .  He was afraid of everything!  He would sit at the window and watch the birds fly over the house.  We lived in a ranch house and Fraidy would perch on the desk in my parent's room and then dart down the hallway into the family room and jump on the back of the couch and watch out the front window.  One day, he ran a bit too fast and bonked his head on the window (poor kitty)!

Your next stop in the hop is GILL!

Hi Lori, glad you joined us for this hop even if you don't have any pets at least you weren't a "FRAIDY" cat to create a project! The card is PURRfect and your friend will love it. The added bling worked & rocked on the letters.

Fun card, loved seeing how you made it.
We have 4 dogs, and each of them are extremely spoiled.
My little one is a tiny pomeranian who has taken on my personality, she gets what she wants when she wants it.
My hubbys dog Smooch has taken on his personality, grumpy! lol
My youngest son's dog is the biggest in the house, she is full of energy.
My oldest son's dog is just like him, really prissy about their hair. Both of them, its funny to watch.

Your card is so darn cute. I'm glad you explained how you did it. The Imagine did a great job with each part. I have had too many animals to count but only have one doggie right now due to living in the desert and lots of friends that are allergic to cats but someday I'll have more cats and dogs. : ) Jearise in Lorby's world

I loved that even though you have allergies and only have dog nephews, etc, that you still created a beautiful kitty card with your Imagine. The Imagine sounds like such a fun toy (and dust collector). Fraidy is such a fun name. LOL We had a dog named Draco until he got sick. He would be sleeping, pass gas, and the sound of it would wake him up in a jump and he'd look around like, "what was that?" We also would laugh.... with him... not at him... okay, maybe at him a little bit. :) Janis

Super cute card. We currently have 6 cats. One is named Bella and she likes to sleep on windowsills. Unfortunately she also likes to roll on her side when petted. My grandson likes to pet her when she's up on the window and she promptly falls off.

Cute card, love the color combo, pattern paper, and glitter. I have a cat, and a collie. Our Collie has a Lassie complex. A couple years ago, during winter, he just would not come into the house. He was in the upper yard barking and whining, facing the row of trees. We finally had to put our boots and coats on to walk up and get him. But he wasnt being bad, an elderly man had fallen in the alley that was on the other side of the trees. My husband ran over to our back gate and helped the gentleman up and home. He was uninjured, he just hadnt been able to get his feet under him because of all the ice. They became fast friends after and our collie always got a special dog treat when he would walk by ater that. Thank you for sharing,a chance to win, and for everyone's pet stories.
