I am so excited to be a Guest Designer today over at Sketches In Thyme! Here is the sketch I am working off of:
Those of you who know me know I have all boys. I have to "boy it down" quite a bit but that doesn't mean it can't be cute!! I created this mesh background a while back for a Gypsy challenge. I knew I would use it eventually and the day finally is here!
I made a "t" mesh for Tanner. I took the lower case t from A Child's Year at 2.45 inches tall. I duplicated it and flipped it and welded it together. I took the weld of 2 t's and copied, flipped and welded and repeated until I had a section of 8 t's across and 4 down. My total project size is 8.15w x 7.95h.
The second layer of my file has an arrow and the title 2 cute from Boys Will Be Boys. I ended up not using square to journal on.
I cut out the "t" mesh in brown.
I inked the mesh. I used the same ink for the edges of the papers and photo mat. I used this photo of Tanner that I took on vacation when he was 2. I cut out the dandilions from Lyrical Letters and added some buttons.
Here is my layout all put together. I journaled on the arrow. This was a fun sketch to follow!!
