Gift Card Holders

I hope you had a wonderful Easter!!

Today I am a guest designer at my friend Sheila's BLOG.  Today I am sharing some fun gift card holders.  My aunt wanted some gift card holders for her grandkids and friend's grandkids.  I got out my Cameo and got to work!
I used these pieces from a Silhouette file to create the pocket.  I used the butterfly for the girl card holders.  I used bright papers!
The pocket pieces were folded and adhered inside the card using my ATG gun.
I placed them right above the slit.
I added a little washi tape on the front.  I used chipboard pieces for the boy cards from Boys Rule.  I added gems to the butterfly body and bent the wings up.

These were fun little card holders - I love the versatility of the design and will use this design again!!

Thanks Sheila for having me on your blog today!!

Teacher Gift Card Holder

Today I am featured at The Buckle Boutique!!

I decorated this tin box to use as a gift card holder for Tanner's teacher.

I like to spoil his teachers at the beginning of the year, middle of the year (Christmas) and end of the year (Teacher Appreciation Day)!
I found an apple on the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge (Roly Poly function key) and used my Gypsy to size it to 2.05 x 2.18 to fit my tin.

I used some red Dazzling Diamonds rhinestone sticker sheet.  It cuts in the Cricut Machine with a deep cut blade set at 6, speed 1 and sometimes it needs a multi cut.  The mat needs to be super sticky and to be sure I use packing tape to tape the edges of my sticker sheet down.  It cuts best face down so make sure you reverse your images before you cut them out!
Here is the Cricut in action.
You can see the cut.  This one was a single cut (no multi cut).

I just peeled the sticker sheet off the mat and popped out the apple.
Very shiny!!  I love how you can cut through the diamonds as they are made out of a gel substance.
I put the apple on the front of the tin window.  I used a black and white polka dot washi tape around the edge of the box.
I used a scrap of black vinyl to cut Ms. Hunt's name and adhered it to the front.  This way she can re-use the box for some small trinkets or storage.
I popped in the gift card and added a tulle ribbon.

You can find the red Dazzling Diamond Sticker Sheet HERE!

I made some Gift Gard holders from a cut I purchased at the Silhouette Store.

I did not use the tree that came with it, but instead used a variety of other cuts, including this bell.

I used scraps of papers and used several cuts from the Silhouette Online store.  I made a variety of gift card holders using the same basic cut.

I added a "to from" stamp to the back.

Here is a view of the inside with the card tucked in.  I will use this basic tag all year round!!!

Jingle Bell Tag

Well, it's that time of the year for gift gifting... and for many families that begins with the Thanksgiving holiday if you're trying to fit in all the families on both sides and extended ones.. so we've put together a great hop today with plenty of ideas to make those gift cards look like a million bucks! I personally love gift cards... no hassle in returns, wrong sizes, etc. and with the ability to buy cards for even Visa and/or MasterCard, how could your gift even be considered to be re-gifted!

They will surely find something they want or need.

For hopping today, we have a gift for some lucky person.

A 17.95 value Close To My Heart Merry and Bright Holiday Stamp set. You'll have a great little set to make your Holiday cards, gift tags, or other décor. A winner will be chosen by Nov. 6th so I can get this in the mail and off to the winner in plenty of time!.

How to win? Comment on each blog and show our creative team some love please! If you're not a follower, you might want to be... this group does a hop every first Sunday so you won't want to miss what's in store! Be sure to leave a way to contact you as well!

Now let's get hopping! If you havent already, starting at Janet's Creative World is where it all begins and those awesome stamps are up for grabs!

For my project today, I used a file from the Silhouette Online Store - with a twist!
Here is my finished gift card holder.  I substituted a jingle bell for the Christmas tree.
Here are the pieces in my cut file.  The jingle bell also came from the Silhouette Online store.
Here is the card holder opened up.
I cut two bows, one I adhered to the card front under the bell, and the other I pop-dotted above the bell.  I tied some music note ribbon to the top and DONE!!

I love the card base and plan on using this file again and again!!!

Thanks for stopping over ~ now you're off to: Create A Latte!

I've posted the line-up in case you get lost... Happy Holidays!
