Yummy Note Card Set

Hi!!  I am super excited to share this Yummy note card set today at CricutDiva!!

I am also sharing this card set with my dear friend Sheila at She's A Sassy Lady today!

I made a set of 3x3 cards with truffles on them from the Cricut Imagine Yummy Cartridge.

I printed out the light pink distressed-look pattern on white cardstock to use as background paper for my cards.  I cut them to 2 7/8" squares and adhered them to my note card (3x6 folded in half).

I printed and cut out the three truffles and mini cake at 2" each.  I inked the edges in Vintage Photo ink, and added a little stickles to each piece and let dry.

Before I adhered the patterned paper to the card, I wrapped a piece of 3Girl Jam 1/3 the way up the paper.  I chose the blue to bring out the bit of blue in each card.

I got the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch - super cool new toy!!!  I wanted to make envelopes for my little note cards.

Making the envelopes were fun, once I watched a YubeVideo on how!!

I found this Enveolope Gum at Archivers to seal the envelopes.  I just painted the glue on and let it dry.  It just needs a little water to seal.

I made a little folder to keep the card set in - this makes a great gift idea!!

I started with a piece of Kraft cardstock and cut it to 8 1/2" x 6".  Placing the paper horizontally on my Score Board, I scored 2" up from the bottom to create the pocket.

I turned the paper to score the fold lines.  I scored at 4 1/8" and 4 3/8".

I used my ATG gun to adhere the center of the bottom flap (pocket) to the spine of the folder.

I punched a hole on each side of the pocket.  I ran a piece of 3Girl Jam ribbon across the inside of the folder and used a glue dot in the spine to hold the ribbon down.

When you close the folder, simply tie a pretty bow.

What a Yummy Gift card set!  These are great for teachers, friends or even secret pals.  I included this set in an Easter Swap gift with another paper crafter!

I also linked up my card set at Sarah Hamer Designs!!

Now, on to my project!!

I created this bright, fun card using my Cricut Imagine and Yummy Cartridge.

I cut out all of the pieces from Yummy and my Imagine.  I inked the edges with vintage photo ink.

I made a card base from lime green cardstock and I trimmed the rectangle to fit my card.

I used some pink ric rac ribbon across the bottom of the card.

I pop-dotted the "Celebrate" tag to the top of the card.

I added stickles to the cupcake icing and pop-dotted the cupcake on the card.

This was a fun quick card.  I love this background paper - the colors are bright and I love the shapes!!

I added some scrappy goodies to the envelope (ribbon, mini stamp set, gems & alpha stickers) for Emily to scrap with!!

Thanks for hopping by today!  Your next stop is the Awesome Anita!

And now onto my project:

I started with this frame.  The opening is about 7.5" x 15" and was sold "as is" at Michaels.  It was probably a custom frame that did not work for the customer who ordered it.  It was perfect for what I had in mind....

I am a visual crafter and have learned that by using Cricut Craft Room and my Imagine Cartridges together, I could see just how big (height AND width) each image is.  I can not print and cut (right now) with CCR, so I took the size that I wanted and cut the pieces out on my Imagine.

I used the banner flags from Yummy Cricut Imagine cartridge.

I cut two of each banner flags and the layers sized to 2.5 inches.
In order to fit on the banner flags, I sized theses letters from Martha Stewart Birthday Cake Art at .70 inches.

The banner flags were not filling up the space like I wanted to I went back to Gypsy.
I put a banner flag from Birthday Bash on my mat about the same size as the Yummy flags.  I opened up a new Layer and copied the banner flag on it.  I enlarged the flag until the layers looked good (3.22 inches).

I cut out the banner flags in the same blue cardstock as the letters.  I embossed the flags with Stampin' Up Chevron Sixxiz embossing folder.  I tied the banner flags together with pink and blue twine.

Thank you for stopping by!!

Your next stop on the hop is NORMA.

Lori Layout

Today’s challenge is All About ME!!! When you look at your photos, normally it is you behind the camera, or making the preparations, but normally not in the photos themselves!  So, with this link up party and challenge - you will get a bit of both worlds, link up your projects that you have done AND a challenge to start your own album!  Memories in Tyme will have WEEKLY challenges for your All About Me album to get you started on your journey celebrating YOU!

I am the last stop in this short and sweet hop, so if you stopped here first please go to see Lynda! After Lynda is Lisa and then me!

Make sure you share with us via the links below so we can see what you have all been doing!!!  And we have a few giveaways scheduled for the whole two weeks of challenges, so check back on the very last day for a fun list of what we are giving away! Now - your challenge is to create or share with us one of your favorite All About Me layouts!   You will get an extra submission if, you used everything from your supply and didn't spend money on this layout!  I love doing my "All About Me" album, and I hope you guys will learn to love them just as much!  Now, go check out these two projects...I know I'm excited to see what everyone has done!

And now for my project:

I have been experimenting with CCR with my Imagine.  I grabbed this scalloped circle shape from Cricut Alphabet and filled it in with a pale pink paper with a subtle design from Yummy.  I added this L from Font 3 from Cricut Alphabet.  I also used a fun paper from Yummy.

I printed this out.  Right now the Imagine will only print with CCR (unless you go back to a previous version of the update) so I just hand cut the scallop circle out.

I typed several words on my computer that describe me that also begin with the letter L:  lucky, lacks patience, layout creator, Lori's Learn 'N Play (the name of my in-home daycare), laid back, loves to read, laughs often, leader, lend (a helping hand - not money he he), Liberty Lane (the street I live on) and Live (with all boys).  I printed them out on cardstock and trimmed them into little banner pieces.

I wanted some flowers for my layout.  I got out my Gypsy at opened up Art Philosophy for the beautiful rolled flowers.  I sized them 4.29, 3.25, 2.76 and 2.29 inches.

I cut them out in these bright cardstock colors.

I used my awesome tweezers to roll them up from the outside in.  I used my Glossy Accents to glue the rolled flower to the center.

I welded my name from Quarter Note.  I sized the welded word 4.51 width x 2.53 height so it would fill the space I had at the top of my layout.

I cut it out in orange cardstock.

I put it all together and used this 12x12 frame without the glass.  I have it hanging in my scrapbook nook!!

Be sure to join in our challenge and create a layout all about you and link it up HERE.

Keira's Double Digit Crafting Birthday Bash Blog Hop

Welcome to Keira's Double Digit Crafting Birthday Bash!!!

Welcome To Keira’s Double-Digit Birthday Crafting Bash!

Oh, the dilemma of it all, what to get a talented gal such as Keira who is going to be 10 for her birthday!!!!! I know what, let's have a blog hop for her .....

Keira has sooo many talents and likes such as:
she will be going in the 5th grade, loves dogs and cats, loves to garden, is a competitive gymnast, but more importantly, she is the best crafting partner Lisa Woodward could have!  At 9, she can use a cricut independently, and with SCAL and CCR. She likes to paper piece and scrapbook and loves making cards for everyone~and everything!!!!  Hallmark may not have a card for “Sorry my Golden Retriever ate your shoe at my sleepover” but Keira sure does!  Keira crafts along side Lisa, working on her own projects, and with helping Lisa with hers.  Now, bear in mind that Keira is not a "kid" crafter so to speak but her skills go way beyond pipe cleaners and pom poms!

We have a talented group of crafters to help Keira celebrate her birthday and know she will be hopping along as part of her "surprise" .....

Our complete line-up is:

Day 1
Day 2
16. Sarah - http://simplyshaddock.blogspot.com ****NEXT

For my project, I started out with my Cricut Imagine and the Yummy cartridge:

I printed and cut out these fun images.

I made a card out of kraft cardstock with a green cardstock background.  I inked and adhered the present and banner on.
On the inside, I inked and layered pink and green cardstock and added the Celebrate cut.

I added some musical tape from Recollections (I hear the Happy Birthday song in my head - don't you??).  I also added some twine with a little Glossy Accents to the banner and some stickles to the bow on the present.

I included the extra cuts and a mini stamp set as my gift to Keira!
