Mickey Water Bottle

Hello and welcome to The Original Disney Pixar Blog Hop!!!  You should have arrived from Nancy's BLOG.  If you found me first, hop on over to Shawn's BLOG so you don't miss a thing!!  This is one of my very favorite blog hops - I hope you enjoy it too!!

I am sad to say we are not planning a trip to Disney World this year.  Last year, we went to Disneyland and Disney World - so maybe next year!!!!

Personalized water bottles are all the rage right now so I thought I would get mine ready!!

I started with a double wall water bottle from Wal-Mart.  You can unscrew the top of the widest part to add ice - love this feature!!
I used some Glitzy Glitter Vinyl from The Buckle Boutique.  This vinyl is super glittery and the glitter is pressed into the vinyl.  It is smooth and sparkly!!!
When cutting on my Silhouette Cameo, I use the Vinyl Setting but add a double cut.
You can really see the shine here as it is cutting!
I use my "dental tool" to pick up a corner and weed the extra pieces away.
I put an "L" inside a Mickey Head and used a font from my computer for "My Happy Place" for my water bottle.
I have found the best transfer tape to use is painter's tape.  The only drawback is you can not always see your design.
Here is the Mickey head after I lifted it off the vinyl backing.  It is silver shiny on the back which is pretty when you have a clear glass container!!
I burnished it onto my water bottle.  I first wiped it with rubbing alcohol and let it air dry.
I tied a bow on top for fun - I will take it off when I drink out of the cup!
And the back!

As with any vinyl designed cups and glasses - make sure you hand wash between uses!

Today I am showcasing some teacher gifts that I made.  Some of these gifts were made for my friend's to give their kid's teachers.
The first gift is an 8x8 tile with vinyl on it.
I made these books for my friend's twins.  She provided me the photos and I used school themed papers.  I adhered the papers to chipboard and used my Bind-it-All to bind the books.   HERE is a tutorial about making mini books with the Bind-it-All.
I had the twins write their names for me and I put the photo on my Silhouette program and traced it.  I cut it out in vinyl and added it to the inside cover. HERE is a how I got the name in vinyl.
I printed this saying on laminated burlap and framed it.  You can find a tutorial HERE
My son's teacher is a runner.  I got her a very nice water bottle from Under Armour.  I put a K on one side....
and Runalicious on the other.  Red is her favorite color!
For the Husker fan, I decorated a wine glass and a water bottle.

Which gift do you like best?

Up next is JENNY

Here is our complete line up in case you get lost along the way:
Be Sure to Come back tomorrow to see what the rest of Santa's Elves created for Day 2!!!

Decorated Water Bottles

I have a very special set of twins that have been in my daycare for the past 5 years.  They are going off to kindergarten in the fall.  Their mommy is a teacher, so today is there last day with me (sniff sniff).

I wanted to make them something special to take to school.  I bought two blue water bottles.  Mallory and William both love blue and red, but blue the most!!!  I added some vinyl to the bottles.
This is just before they started with me - they were soooo small and soooo cute!!!
This is Christmas 2012 at our annual Daycare Christmas Party.
This is Christmas 2013.
They took Tanner with them to the Pumpkin Patch - I just love these pics!!!

These were taken at our Easter Egg Hunt this year.  I can not believe they will not be here next year!!!  Where did the time go?!!?

Good luck to Mallory and William (and Mom too) as they start a new chapter!!  Love you guys!!
